Top Corporate Philanthropist Award 2009Date and time: 10 December, 2009
Awards were given to the Top Corporate Philanthropist of 2009 The Hungarian Donors Forum gave out awards to the Top Corporate Philanthropist for the 4th time. Awarded in 2009 in the five categories were the following companies: Magyar Telekom Nyrt., Nexon Vállalkozási és Kereskedelmi Kft., Bringóhintó Kkt., Dutrade Zrt., and Union Biztosító. The 24 companies that participated in the survey had spent more than 4.5 billion HUF on donating. The award ceremony was organised by the Hungarian Donors Forum following a conference (“ Donating despite the crisis? Only effectively!”) held on 10 December 2009 at Kogart House. The Hungarian Donors Forum established the Top Corporate Philanthropist Award so that it can take part in strengthening the corporate responsibility of the business sector by presenting donating activities of the companies, as well as acknowledging and publishing them widely. The individuality of the award in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is that it is based on objective number data. The basis of the awards given out is the sum that was donated by the company in the previous year, and in many categories, the comparison and proportion of these sums with public business data. The survey was elaborated by the Ceenergi Network, the co-operation of the donors forums of eight Central-and Eastern-European countries, and was based on the standard questionnaire adapted to Hungarian circumstances with the assistance of KPMG. |
