Overview

Why does the Chamber support SIG activities? Because many members are conscious about their issues and needs, and the BCCH is committed to serve their special interests.

Through these groups, members can share their experience and best practices with each other and present their issues to the public.

Existing BCCH SIGs and Workgroups are the following:


CR
The group's mission is to build CR consciousness among Hungarian and international companies, the media, and decision makers. Its objectives are to select “competitive” CR themes and elements for the Hungarian market, to introduce international/UK best practices and experience, to involve and educate BCCH member companies, and to inform the media about CR.

Education
The group has an active and useful co-oparation with higher education institutions (which is unique within Chambers in Hungary), and builds bridges between business and Education by advocating British business values, bringing the talent of members to contribute to the future of Hungary by giving lectures/presentations at certain universities.

Finance Club
The Finance Club aims to reach the BCCH membership and the Hungarian financial community with professional topics plus British, international and Hungarian culture. It aims to enhance communication in an informative and informal way.

HR
The BCCH HR Directors’ workgroup is an invitation-based group, regularly exchanging best practices and discussing mutually interesting HR topics (e.g. talent management, employer branding, 2009 HR outlook), also presenting them to the public at roundtable discussions on a regular basis.

Membership
The group organises Membership Drive Breakfasts and also one-to-one meetings with new and prospective members, while also working to further improve benefits for existing and new members  in order to help them make the most out of their BCCH membership.

SME
The group provides members with a successful workshop series, proactive help, and professional consultancy, which is crucial in the current world economic situation.

Tax & Legal
The group deals with important issues in its field and co-ordinates the Chamber's Tax & Legal Newsletter.
